Moving away to Seattle

And so in a blink of an eye the summer is nearly over and the time has come for me to move away to Seattle to start my full time work with Amazon.

I leave with mixed feelings;
One of sad thing about leaving Toronto is leaving behind my family and many good friends; over the years, we have shared many wonderful memories and I can only hope that there will be many more to come. I will do my best to keep in touch with everyone and come visit as often as I can.

On the other hand I leave for the west coast where the weather is nicer, people are more laid back and nature offers some fantastic views and opportunities for exploration. At the same time I join the Distributed Systems team with an opportunity to keep learning and produce creative work, challenge myself and to work with the latest technology and techniques, but most of all it is an opportunity to do what I truly love doing.

And so, my new life begins.

Going away dinner at Jack Astor's

As you may or may not know, I am moving away to Seattle to start a full time job with Amazon. For my last big outing in Toronto I organized a going away dinner for my friends. I would like to thank everyone who made it ... it was really great seeing all of you.
